Today we completed our latest bilingualism workshop, which went very smoothly thanks to the kind help of our helper Carol, who kept the energetic children entertained, and my husband Andrew who provided all the technical support!
Past participants and today’s parents have requested more focus on strategies and for more information targeted at their children’s age. Therefore due to overwhelming feedback, future workshops will be split into two sessions:
Session B in particular will focus heavily on strategies, advice and ideas on how to make your child achieve bilingual language ability. We will provide information on what worked for us raising trilingual children, share with you what previous families that I have worked with found helpful, how to fill a child’s time with minority language exposure through playgroups, schools and activities, and brainstorming new ideas on increasing minority language exposure in general. Within this time I also hope to provide some information about biliteracy.
