I am a qualified Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, currently working for Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. Here, I work with adults with dysphagia (swallowing disorders) and communication disorders resulting from acquired brain injury. You can find me on acute and critical care wards, stroke wards and in the community (depending on my rotation!)
I also love working with children. As such, I maintain a private caseload that covers mainly children and a few adults in the North/Central London area but I have had clients in the east and southern parts of London too and even travelled outside of London.
My experience working with children is extensive. I have experience working with mild to severe speech and language impairments, ranging from global developmental delay, cerebral palsy, autism, development verbal dyspraxia/childhood apraxia of speech to more mild issues like lisps.
I have also offered tutoring services in English in the past for creative writing, grammar, punctuation to handwriting and 11+ preparation using language assessments and therapeutic techniques in a fun and engaging way. I can’t hide my enthusiam for the English language and hope each child sees learning a language, whether it is English or a minority language, as fun and rewarding!
