Haringey Chinese School was established in 1987 and managed by Haringey Chinese Centre which is a non-profit charity organisation.
We aim to:
Our teachers have a vast experience in teaching and attend regular training annually. Teachers are concentrating on 4 areas of skills of teaching, which included listening, writing, reading and speaking to help our pupils t to reach their full potentials to learn and meet the requirements of our school’s curriculum. We provide teaching assistants and volunteers to help our class teachers to manage their classes more efficiently. Pupils are required to do homework weekly.
We have a School Parents/Teachers Association and a School Governors’ Sub-Committee Board to promote good management, better communication and involvement between parents, teachers, pupils and staff. Sharing opinions, comments and ideas with each others will ensure transparency, improvement and the effectiveness of running the Chinese school.
Learners achieve well as demonstrated by the IGCSE results at the end of the year. Last year, all of our pupils who entered the Edexcel IGCSE June Exam have achieved very good results. All gained either A or A* in their exams.
