Ecole Buissonnière is a small Saturday language support school for bilingual children belonging to the FLAM network supported by the French Embassy www.ambafrance-uk.org.
The Buissonnière School was created at the end of October 2008 on the initiative of a few local volunteer moms who wanted to provide their bilingual children, who were in school during the week in the British system, with a French linguistic and cultural supplement.
The Buissonnière School is mainly aimed at the French-speaking community in the south / south-east London area and offers children who already have a good command of French a French-language school environment in which they can develop their language skills. learn to read and write and, on the whole, extend their knowledge of French language and culture. These children come from bilingual families and are mostly binational, with an anglophone parent and a francophone parent, whether they come from France or any other French-speaking country.
Today, the Ecole Buissonnière welcomes primary school children, aged 4 years (MSM / Reception) to 11 years (CM2 / Year 6).
